Bali Pilgrimage 2027:
A Journey of Heart to the Island of Gods
Pilgrimage from May 7 to 17, 2027
Online Workshops on April 16, 30, and May 28
A sacred pilgrimage to the essence of Balinese spiritual and ancient wisdom, connecting with humankind, nature and the divine (Tri Hita Karana – the three causes of harmony).
Join us, Fritz Hendrik and Angelica, ordained as temple priests in Bali, and travel as a pilgrim, not a tourist. Come into direct contact with the authentic spirituality of this land and its people, filtering out the confusions of the modern world and connecting directly with the essence of life.
Investment 2500€
There is a reason people from all over the world are drawn to Bali. The energy of truth, holiness and beauty is in the air that calls the heart to greet it.
Hidden away from mass tourism, await the true jewels of the island of the gods. It takes intent, commitment, patience, understanding and connections to discover them.
On this pilgrimage, we will face our truth and transform darkness into light. We’ll immerse ourselves in the energy of Bali’s directional temples and hidden holy water sites, and we’ll enjoy the true beauty of the island.
Rahayu! (may you be well and at peace)
A Journey to Where
Human and Divine Meet
In Bali, “pilgrimage” means Tirta Yatra.
The Sanskrit root of the term Tirta is “crossing place”, a sacred point where the human world and the divine meet. Yatra means “journey” or “travel”
So, a pilgrimage in Bali is a journey to where the human and the divine meet.
“As the journey unfolds, the spirit of togetherness grows. More than just a physical trip, Tirta Yatra emerges as a living expression of gratitude, humility, and devotion. It honours ancestral traditions while encouraging each of us to reflect, reset, and move closer to spiritual clarity and inner peace. Ultimately, Tirta Yatra transforms both the inner and outer self, strengthening the bonds between people, nature, and the divine.”
At the heart of Bali is its profound spiritual and ancient wisdom, which has been guarded successfully for over 2000 years by locals keeping their traditions intact. From indigenous and nature-based origins, the Balinese have embraced both Hinduism and Buddhism, creating a unique, tantric, approach to life and spirituality.
While this is not a religious journey, but a pilgrimage to the essence, we will engage in local customs, ceremonies and spiritual practices as a way of discovering ourselves, nature, and the universe, and transforming our daily life.
The Heartbeat of Bali
Are you ready?
To say yes to this journey is to say I am ready to dissolve the layers that I’ve built up, to truly listen to what life is asking, and to act on this guidance with a new level of trust.
You are willing to put your guard down, meet the deepest parts of yourself and discover what is still to be found.
You honour the process, embracing challenges whilst walking both outward and inward, rather than looking to arrive at a destination.
You are generous in offering and sharing yourself, not only trekking and collecting experiences.
You are open to meeting the edges of what is comfortable and familiar, opening yourself to a new possibility of being.

Itinerary
-
You will be picked up at the airport on May 7, and we will welcome you in Ubud at our accommodation, where we will spend the first two nights.
The pilgrimage begins with a traditional water purification at an ancient site – releasing and welcoming a new possibility of being. There will be some time to rest before we will experience Bali's central temple, unknown to most visitors, in the evening of May 8.
On May 9, we will travel to Nusa Penida, known as the shaman island by local priests. We will dive deep in a sacred cave temple and meditate where Shamans receive their initiation.
We head back to the main island on May 11, toward Padang Bai, where we will feel the energy of a series of important cliffside temples – and spend some time at the beach too.
Over the next three days, we will immerse ourselves in three of the most important temples in Bali, dedicated to the source of life, creation, and ancestors, for spiritual practice and contemplation.
On May 15, we will travel to Batur, the volcanic epicenter of Bali, where we will meet with the only native Balinese high priest in the area. He will dialogue with us about our experiences, offering his insight and a profound purification ceremony.
May 16 is a total rest day, bathing not only in the hot springs of Batur, but in intense energy and clarity.
May 17, we return to Ubud, maybe with another stop in between, for our closing.
May 18 is departure day.
-
This pilgrimage involves a moderate level of physical activity. It is not a trekking journey, but we will have several active days involving walking, uneven and sometimes steep terrain, temple steps, early mornings and some longer days of travel.
Participants should be comfortable walking for several hours at a time and climbing stairs in warm and humid conditions. There will be plenty of opportunities to rest, integrate and move at a slower pace.
No hiking experience is required, but a reasonable level of fitness and mobility.
-
Throughout the pilgrimage, we will stay in selected, comfortable accommodations that reflect the spirit and character of the place we visit. We will favour peaceful settings close to nature and sacred sites, choosing places that offer a welcoming atmosphere and space to rest and integrate.
Accommodation will be mostly twin-shared. We move through different parts of Bali and the style of accommodation may vary, allowing us to experience different landscapes and local environments while maintaining a reasonable level of comfort.
-
During the pilgrimage, participants agree:
Not to use recreational drugs, alcohol, or mind-altering substances
To avoid or absolutely minimize caffeine and smoking (start reducing at least one week before the pilgrimage)
Phones will be switched off and left at the hotel (emergency contact will be provided)
Photographs will be limited and taken only with a separate camera, as the phone will stay back.
